Neagu Djuvara (n. 1916), historian and diplomat. Descendant of boyar families Grădişteanu, Olănescu, Poroineanu, Hagi-Moscu, Hrisoscoleo, Djuvara and descendant of the Basarab dynasty.

Ion Irimescu (1903-2005), sculptor. Descendant of the French aristocratic family of Cazaban.

Profira Stoicescu (1904-2003). Descendant of families of Stegărescu, Pretorian, Alexandrescu-Guranda. Relative of Cantacuzino, Cuza and Xenopol families. During college, she was one of Mircea Eliade’s closest friends.

Mircea Horia Simionescu (1928-2011), writer. Relative of Brătianu family.

Lydia baronesse Løvendal (1923-2006), daughter of the painter George baron Løvendal. The descendant of a Russian aristocratic family of Danish origin.

Corneliu Axentie (1911-2001), surgeon, political prisoner during the communist regime. Descendant of the family where the Transylvanian revolutionary from 1848, Axente Sever, was born.
